Mike Jensen is a licensed REALTOR, licensed to sell real estate in the State of Iowa. A life-long resident of Iowa City, Mike is well-informed of the Johnson County area local real estate market. Mike’s hard work and dedication to his clients throughout his career has garnered the attention of his community and the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS®. In 2004, he was awarded Professional Newcomer over the Year for exhibiting Outstanding Professionalism in Real Estate by the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS®. He received Gold Star Awards in 2007, 2010, 2013, & 2016 for Outstanding Professionalism & Cooperation, and in both 2011 & 2017 he was awarded Realtor of the Year by the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS®. 2012 – Fran Joins the Team

In 2012, Mike’s wife, Fran, joined him in his real estate business in order to provide his clients with enhanced services. Fran is licensed to sell real estate in the State of Iowa. She obtained her real estate license in 2012 after working for ten years in Marketing and Development at the Iowa Children’s Museum. Fran has enjoyed working with Mike and using her expertise in sales, marketing, and customer service to help their buyers and sellers with their real estate needs. Additionally, Fran added home staging to the repertoire of services she and Mike offer their clients.

Fran is delighted to be working with clients as they buy or sell their homes in a community which she feels very passionate about. Fran is a strong believer is giving back to the community which has given so much to her. She received the Governor’s Award for Volunteerism in 2011. She has served on the boards and as President of the Iowa City/Coralville Convention and Visitors Bureau and Eastern Iowa Tourism Association. She has volunteered with many local organizations, including Regina Education Center, The Iowa Children’s Museum, and Summer of the Arts.

2017 – Jamie Joins the Team

In 2017 Mike & Fran hired their daughter, Jamie, to take on the Communication and Marketing efforts for their business, allowing them to focus all of their time and energy on their clients. Jamie had previously worked for the American Heart Association as a Corporate Events Director, and brings a fresh perspective to the marketing efforts of the business.

In 2018, Jamie obtained her Real Estate License, and has enjoyed spending more time with clients as they work to buy and/or sell their home. Jamie lives on the east side of Iowa City with her husband, Mike, and three children, Brady, Mack, & Maeve. She enjoys giving back to the community she loves through volunteerism. She currently serves as Chair for ICAAR’S Community Outreach Committee, The Iowa Children’s Museum Volunteer Guild, and the Regina Gala Committee. Jamie feels incredibly lucky to work and live in this vibrant community and is thrilled to join her parents in their established real estate business.

Lifelong Iowa City Residents

As lifelong residents of Iowa City, Mike, Fran, & Jamie are delighted to be working with clients as they buy or sell their homes in a community they feel very passionate about. The Iowa City area is home to them and their families. They feel fortunate to live, work, and give back to a community that has given so much to their family.

Opening Doors for You and Your Family

“Opening Doors for You and Your Family” fits the Jensen Team’s personalities well. Their hospitable, caring, can-do attitudes will put you at ease the minute you meet them. Mike, Fran, & Jamie enjoy working with first time homebuyers as well as seasoned buyers and sellers, and would value the opportunity to help you with your buyer or selling needs.

When the Jensen Team isn’t out working with their clients, they enjoy spending their time with family and friends, attending Hawkeye sporting events, cheering on the Cubs, and attending local festivals and events.

Mike & Fran have three children; Bobbie, Jamie, & Paul. Bobbie is a second grade teacher in the Iowa City Community School District, and Paul recently moved back to Iowa City and is working for Unchained Capital. He also recently became a homeowner with his wife, Megan, whom we all adore. Mike and Fran’s grandchildren, Brady, Annie, Mollie, Mack, Joey, & Maeve keep them busy! There’s nothing they love more than showering those sweet kiddos with love!
